Police on scene when it happened and still 14 killed? Did they stay out of the theater until the all-clear sign?
I'm going to cut them some slack and consider that it took them a couple minutes to realize what was going on and respond. A lot can happen in a couple minutes with a gun, a crowded theater, and chaos.
I don't know much about hiow fast someone can shoot whatever kind of gun he was using, but if it took the LE even one minute to respond, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of several deaths and injuries.
But I'm sure if you had been there, it would have ended differently, wouldn't it?
Cops in the lobby of a large theater, for crowd control on opening night. So stand up in theater 8 with an AR-15 and light up the crowd. Going thru 3 mags before the cops even know its started would be easy.
Likely the first they would know is when people come screaming and running,,, from something that was largely over.
Only takes seconds to walk down an aisle - shooting.
