He did not know Trayvon died till one hour later. He was not sure if he hit him as Trayvon spoke and said “You got me.” Zimmerman said he thought he was saying “You win. You have the gun.” Zimmerman got up and only later realized he had hit him.
The shot was upward in the belly wasn’t it and Trayvon keeled over in the grass? Just for devils advocacy sake, even if no shot wound were visible, if you had made such a shot wouldn’t the opponent’s falling over in the grass arouse YOUR curiosity?
The first thing Trayvon did was break Zimmermans nose. Zimmerman remembers he ended up on the ground and Trayvon kept hitting him at least 12 times and his head kept hitting the cement. Trayvon put his hand over his broken nose and mouth and told him to shut up.
