Recently, President Obama has drawn more than his usual number of facepalms by uttering these words: " If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If youve got a business, you didnt build that. Somebody else made that happen, he said. The Internet didnt get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
Let us digress very briefly: It is true that we live in an interdependent system. Someone may have had a great teacher, true. And someone may have benefited from great infrastructure, true. Yet, one person creates a business, and the next falls into welfare dependency. That difference can only be explained with hard work, character, bravery, and intelligent choices.
That said, perhaps we are being too hard on President Obama. Perhaps he actually believes the words he uttered. After all, is this not his experience?
1) Did he not recieve a Nobel Prize with absolutely no action, including a proposal or an outline of his intent, from the Nobel Peace Prize committee? This is a GENUINE case of "Someone else did that", and Obama experienced it firsthand.
2) Before the killing of Osama Bin Laden, wasn't President Obama out on the golf course, somewhat oblivious to the events of that day? Didn't other men sacrifice life and limb to accomplish this act? However, didn't he immediately bask in the glow from a willing, sychophantic media, implying that he was solely responsible for this event? This is a ANOTHER GENUINE case of "Someone else did that", and Obama experienced it firsthand.
3) We still do not know how President Obama got accepted into Occidental, then Columbia University, and then Harvard University. We do not know what his grades were that permitted these college acceptances. How did Obama become the editor of the Harvard Law Review, when extensive digging uncovered only one article submited to the publication? Certainly all these events were genuine cases of "someone else did that", and he profited from that intervention.
So, it's clear to even a casual observer: Barack Obama has had many things happen FOR him, actions that were actually performed by other people, and he ended up getting the benefit. It only follows that he would assume that this is how the rest of the world operates. Therefore, when he sees a Steve Jobs or a Bill Gates, he remarks that these people did not create their business, someone else did it for them.
It's the only reality he can understand, because it is the only reality he has experienced firsthand.

Good job, Laz. Or whoever did that!
First of all, the gov’t did not create the Internet so companies could make money.
They needed a way to communicate in the event of nuclear war.
They went to the private sector to achieve this.
Yes, they provided the funding. But this was funding for something that they could not do on their own and they weren’t even sure if it were possible. It’s called research.
Does the Gov’t build fighter jets ?
Pingy-dingy! There’s a couple pics in here that I’m gonna steal and annoy my libtard acquaintences on FB with...
Hmmmmm ..?? I strongly believe George Soros was the sugar daddy of this horribly wrong person to be president.
