Recently, President Obama has drawn more than his usual number of facepalms by uttering these words: " If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If youve got a business, you didnt build that. Somebody else made that happen, he said. The Internet didnt get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.
Let us digress very briefly: It is true that we live in an interdependent system. Someone may have had a great teacher, true. And someone may have benefited from great infrastructure, true. Yet, one person creates a business, and the next falls into welfare dependency. That difference can only be explained with hard work, character, bravery, and intelligent choices.
That said, perhaps we are being too hard on President Obama. Perhaps he actually believes the words he uttered. After all, is this not his experience?
1) Did he not recieve a Nobel Prize with absolutely no action, including a proposal or an outline of his intent, from the Nobel Peace Prize committee? This is a GENUINE case of "Someone else did that", and Obama experienced it firsthand.
2) Before the killing of Osama Bin Laden, wasn't President Obama out on the golf course, somewhat oblivious to the events of that day? Didn't other men sacrifice life and limb to accomplish this act? However, didn't he immediately bask in the glow from a willing, sychophantic media, implying that he was solely responsible for this event? This is a ANOTHER GENUINE case of "Someone else did that", and Obama experienced it firsthand.
3) We still do not know how President Obama got accepted into Occidental, then Columbia University, and then Harvard University. We do not know what his grades were that permitted these college acceptances. How did Obama become the editor of the Harvard Law Review, when extensive digging uncovered only one article submited to the publication? Certainly all these events were genuine cases of "someone else did that", and he profited from that intervention.
So, it's clear to even a casual observer: Barack Obama has had many things happen FOR him, actions that were actually performed by other people, and he ended up getting the benefit. It only follows that he would assume that this is how the rest of the world operates. Therefore, when he sees a Steve Jobs or a Bill Gates, he remarks that these people did not create their business, someone else did it for them.
It's the only reality he can understand, because it is the only reality he has experienced firsthand.
Why is it that it’s only the “successful” businesses that had this help?
Doesn’t he know that a majority of new businesses fail?
Don’t you think they had some government help in that failing?
It’s also how affirmative action people behave on the job, except it’s “someone else do that!”
This is actually what sparked the thought in my head that maybe this is all he, Obama, knows.
Obama owes his success to Frank Marshall Davis.
The Gov’t did NOT create the Internet.
While, a Gov’t official did conceive the idea, It was a private company that made it happen.
Bolt Beranek and Newman, a company who played a major role in creating the Internet, which was founded in 1948 as consulting company. Richard Bolt and Leo Beranek were acousticians from MIT who did private consulting on buildings around the country. In the Mid 1940s Bolt was asked by the United Nations to design the acoustics for a new building. Because of all the work that was ahead, he could not handle it all himself so he asked Leo Beranek to join him. At that time they hired another man whos name was Robert Newman to help with the work, which together formed BBN.

Though it was short, it hit the nail on the head and is one of your best IMO.
Like.
The Turtle-on-the-Fence-Post-in-Chief didn't get there by himself, the enemies of America helped him all along the way.
They didn't create it so that "companies could make money", idiot.
They created it to communicate during times of war.
They didn't know what to do with it, otherwise.
It took Netscape and Berners-Lee and Mark Andreesen and countless others to make it into what it is today.
And that thought led me right back to that image.
(Cue "Circle Of Life" music..)
Boy is this the truth. Obama could not have prepared his fraudulent birth record. A whole lot of people needed to help.
Well done, Laz!
this is some SERIOUSLY good stuff
great points!
can anyone get this to Rush, Hannity, Beck, Wilcow, et.al?
this needs to go viral
Obama is a blood sucking tick. Why wouldn’t he think the world revolves around parasitical government?
Excellent. But instead of three unearned “successes,” you could make it a dozen. Or fifty. Or a hundred. Or one for every day in his misbegotten life.
Make it happen, bro! Send this beyotch everywhere. I'll ping Mark Levin, who should be on my editorial ping list anyways. He's gotta know I am an up-and-comer by now! :)
