John Boswell was a flaming queer and a poor scholar. His appointment as a full professor at Yale was a classic PC Affirmative Action (sexual minorities in this case) scam. His promotion to chair was more of the same. His body of work for the time he was at Yale was a disgrace and contained numerous blatant falsehoods. He was never directly confronted about this poor grade partisanship disguised as scholarship.
Boswell is now dead. Did he die of AIDS?
Thanks for that info. The plot thickens. It is likely he died of AIDS; in any case, the damage is done, as it is now touted by advocates that history is rife with same sex marriages.
