I somehow doubt the commitment to true liberalization of a country which does not, as soon as practicable, rename a ship called Dzerzhinsky.

Unless the ship is the namesake of some Russian naval hero or extremely clever botanist by that name...

Dzerzhinsky was commissioned in December 1984. Before the collapse of the USSR.

The Russians don’t usually change the name of ships that have already been commissioned.

Calling a Russian warship the Dzerzhinsky would be like calling a German warship the Himmler.
