Mr. Williams did great. This isn't the movies where someone suffers a single gunshot wound and drops dead in 2 seconds. As to caliber, most people don't carry .44 magnums. And shooting people who are running, falling, and flopping around on the ground isn't as easy as shooting paper targets.

Good shoot, though I hope the perp Williams popped through the door is the one who had the handgun. If there is an affirmative action prosecutor like the one persecuting George Zimmerman in Gainseville, Williams' actions will be scrutinized.

The one that fell to the floor and crawled out the door was the perp with the handgun. Given the angle that Williams was shooting, it could have only been the one on the floor.

That's exactly my point. It looks like the perp was crawling away on the ground, and Williams shot him in the butt through the open door. Regardless of whether you consider that right or wrong, it subjects Williams to unwanted scrutiny.

He(Williams)didn’t need anything as big as a .44Magnum.He needed at least a 9/19 or a .40S&W.
