People preach shot placement for a reason. For people like me, some times a bigger hole in the perp can compensate for variance in my shooting ability.Not if you miss the target.
Accurate shot placement is the most important element in stopping a threat.
I can do the same thing with a rifle at 200 yrds and cover it with a penny. I shoot steel at 25 yrds for time with my 10mm. My splits aren't up to competition standards, but it would have handled both of these goblins quite handily.
I've also done run-n-gun/3-gun shoots for fun. It's not rocket surgery, but it does take practice.
