Okay, let’s say it’s 7 people voting. 3 vote for Obama, 2 vote for Romney and 2 vote for a 3rd part candidate. Obama wins re-election. If the two that voted 3rd party had voted for Romney, Obama loses. Under certain circumstances, depending on the vote totals a non vote or a vote for a 3rd party can indeed lead to an Obama victory.
It's simple math - a vote for a third-party candidate does not go to Obama. It does not help Romney, but it basically goes off to the side and is not in play.
Try making the case for Romney without inane, worn-out GOP-E talking points. We hear them every four years. I guess it beats the GOP-E actually trying to do something to satisfy the base's core concerns.
Okay, lets say its 7 people voting. 3 vote for VX, 2 vote for Ricin and 2 vote for ice cream. Everybody gets poisoned with VX. If the two that voted for ice cream had voted for Ricin, everybody gets poisoned with Ricin. But if even one of those who had voted for VX or Ricin had instead voted for ice cream, we might still be alive.
