He doesn't have to be a great guy.
He only has to sit in the seat and sign the bills which will turn some of the current morass around.
I don't think of politicians as saviors. If we get a great one once in awhile it's wonderful. But a large part of the time pragmatism is enough.
Would that it were so easy. He also has to appoint the judges, cabinet officers, and senior bureaucrats who will carry out (or at least not obstruct) the process of turning some of the current morass around. I expect, instead, that R0mney will appoint judges, cabinet officers, and senior bureaucrats who agree with the current morass, and wish to perpetuate and extend it. That's what he did in Massachusetts.
I don't think of politicians as saviors.
No ... for the most part, I think of them as parasites.
That's when I'm feeling "nice".
When I'm feeling a little less "nice", I think of politicians as predators.
You mean his campaigning before 08 was so he can sit and sign bills? Gotcha. No other agenda in mind. Gotcha. He trash a conservative 24/7 for four years and had created Bloody Thursday against Newt and spent millions on attack ads on him - to sit and sign bills. Gotcha
So like what bills? Obomacare/the stepchild to Romneycare that he embraces?
Appoint liberal judges in favor of conservative ones like he did in MA?
You need to be more specific
I'll say one thing - what you want/expect is not what Mitt has planned. However, your's is honest!!
