This is why I always cringe when I hear some successful businessman, athlete or entertainer talk about “giving back”. At some point I want to ask, “Why? Did you steal something?”
Combine this with (mandatory) volunteerism in our educational system and we’ve got a whole lot of young people running around thinking that every individual literally owes everybody (meaning the government).
This is crazy.

Funny how "giving back" never flows the other way. Failed businessmen, athletes, or entertainers never get refunds.
