I really don't see what is to be gained by wishing for an alternative in Tampa. I don't see it happening.

Seriously, look at FR - we're tearing each other apart over Romney. The GOP-E at this point probably sees a Romney win in November as icing on the cake of having set the conservative movement upon itself. Why on Earth would they go along with taking out the guy making all this possible?

Now, if Romney wins in November, the conservative base will be so fractured that it might not be able to coalesce back into an effective resistance against RINO socialism and as a means to nominate effective Tea Party alternatives in the 2014 primaries. If 2012 is any indication, we'll shred our own and open the door for the RINO to win the primary.

Can we please realize that the 2012 presidential elections basically are very bad news, no matter who wins between Romney and Obama, that short of something horrific happening to Romney that there is no way he will not be the nominee, and that our battle is to push as many conservatives over the line in down-ticket races?

The GOPe has no interest in winning in November or any other
time. They are in it to take the money, starting
with Bishop Romney who is meek as a mouse for his Obama.

Don't be silly. All that's happening is we are surfacing the secret RINOs, and right here on FR of all places.

With them out in the open now, willing to sell out Conservative principles at the drop of a hat, I think we will have a far stronger Conservative movement.

Reminds me a lot of when we got the list of the JOURNOLIST crowd in the MSM. There really was a far leftwingtard conspiracy ~ and we found out who they were.

Hear hear! (or is it here here!?)

I’ll even vote for the Rombot. (and shower for at least 1 hour to get the funk off). But I am in the peoples republic of Minnesota. So it likely would not matter.

However.. If it pushes Romney over the top in the popular vote it would be fun to watch heads explode in CA. I think they award their electors via the popular vote now.

What people are refusing to see is the destruction of the conservative movement as a voice within the republican party.

They hate fubo sooooo much that they are willing to compromise their personal integrity and destroy an entire movement to get him out. Very short sighted.

mcromney needs to be defeated in a very big way. Period. That is the only way our movement survives.

conservative house and senate with some damn backbone can keep this guy in check for 4 years ( really only 1, because just like nixon, this guy will never finish a second term aka fast and furious )....

Time to shut down the emotions and deal with pure logic and tactics. If mcromney wins we lose....
