Lobbyists in the EU capital opposing gay rights are in close contact with US neoconservative organizations, raising questions about where their money comes from. The lobbyists themselves deny any funding comes from overseas.
One such lobby group is European Dignity Watch, founded in 2010, advocating "life, the family and fundamental freedoms."
According to the EU transparency register, it has an annual budget of 80,816 ($99,307)all in the form of anonymous donations.
It rallies against abortion, euthanasia, but most ardently against gay rights. It accuses the European Parliament of pressuring member states into legalizing same-sex marriage, and the European Commission of bias for hosting a pro-gay photo exhibition.

I could see them getting funds from US social conservatives, but I thought most neo-cons were aloof to social issues such as gay marriage, and focused on fiscal matters.
I’d say the statement “your opinion of me says more about you than it does about me” applies here.
Liberals assume those who disapprove of gay sex want to outlaw it and persecute gay people because liberals themselves don’t know how to be offended without wanting the government to intervene. Liberals think opponents of same-sex marriage hate the sinner at least as much as the sin because liberals themselves cannot fathom the possibility of disagreeing with somebody on a hot-button political issue and still respecting that person as a decent human being. Do something liberals don’t like and you’re a bigoted, racist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic, genocidal monster unprotected by the First Amendment due to your sub-human status, and certainly not to be trusted with the Second. Why shouldn’t they believe social conservatives operate the same way: that it’s impossible to have problems with gay sex without hating, shunning and oppressing those who engage in it?
Right; it is that “either/or” stance of liberals and gays on the gay marriage issue which is so obnoxious and which alienates so greatly. “Homophobia and bigotry” are hurled even at people who say gays should have equality in employment, housing, should have civil unions, but not full marriage. If that is homophobia and bigotry, they sure must have forgotten what was the prevalent attitude about gays until very recently.
