...the responsibilities attendant to discovery.
Hmmmm...we're both here sharing our thoughts, opinions and knowledge at the largest conservative website which is ranked very highly worldwide.
I feel very comfortable in concluding that I've effectively shared what I've discovered and have done so for well over 12 years (since around late 1992 actually, but that's before FR). I haven't made a penny off of my efforts, I've never asked for credit for any accomplishments I made, or might have helped make, and I'm happy with that. I consider all that I've done to be charitable works.

When G_d hands one a talent, one is commanded to make it grow, or pay dearly.
Whose talent are we speaking of here, yours or mine? What exactly do you consider my talent to be?
Or are you obliquely telling me to "get off my duff and do something with my life"?

Honestly, I doubt you'd want to trade places.
I'm content with my life. Why would I want to change places?

A "talent" (and I'm specifically referring to the parable by that name) was an amount of money, a thing of value, in this case a series of discoveries.

As to making money, the work has cost me well over $1.5 million.

No.

I'm content with my life. Why would I want to change places?

Discoveries are wonderful things; the researcher values them highly. I've been blessed, but they do come at a terrible price and entail very serious responsibilities.
