Americans have a more unfavorable view of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts than they did seven years earlier, according to a new poll, which finds his support among Republicans, in particular, having eroded sharply.
Among Republicans, Roberts's drop has been more drastic. Sixty-seven percent of Republicans had a favorable view of Roberts in 2005, a figure which plummets 40 points to 27 percent in the 2012 survey. Four percent had an unfavorable view of the chief justice in 2005, jumping to 44 percent in the new poll.
blackmail.
Closet gay with wife as a beard.
Beard ?
Adopted two children, John (Jack) and Josephine (Josie), not impregnated.
Roberts worked pro bono for gay rights in the 1996 Romer V. Evans USSC victory.
Roberts DID NOT reveal his pro-homosexual free advice in Romer to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which asked about pro bono work in a questionnaire during his confirmation process.
Word was either WaPo or NY Slimes had dirt on his "adoptions" they were going to spill unless he joined the dark side.
Form now on he will be the next David Souter.

ok, do polls matter when it comes to the SCOTUS crew?
Roberts legal reasoning was contrived and fallacious and he will be regarded as a buffoon in history devoid of legal analyses or principle.
puhleeze. if someon could prove he was a bathhouse regular, the erect (pardon the pun) a statue for him.

weard my spel-chekr goe?
He impressed the heck out of everybody during his confirmation hearing by speaking without notes about his past cases, recalling all the details, and appearing extremely confident and competent.
Which is why it was such a stunner to see that he broke under the pressure.
He is now tainted as Chief Justice. He no longer has the esteem that he once had, and any future rulings will be viewed through the lens of whether he's trying to regain his standing by ruling one way or the other, instead of whether it was the right application of law.

Roberts is a ‘Benedict Arnold’ to me! Never trust the man again!
No one cares about the gay label anymore. If Roberts was found out to be gay would East and West coast libs care? No, they couldn’t exactly feign outrage on that one. Would conservatives care if Roberts is gay as long as he made the right decision on 0-care? Absolutely not. These coming out announcements are a big yawn now.
Perhaps zero issued some veiled threat. But the more plausible explanation is that Roberts was never a real conservative, he was just a closet rino. His coming out as a lib is far more disturbing.
Absurd. No one would care if he is gay. Even if he was, he has a lifetime appointment and being gay is no cause for impeachment.
Like most powerful people who hang around Washington too long, he wants to be accepted by the other power elites, and he’s worried about his “legacy”.
That changes the way people think. We’ve seen it over and over with others who inhabit that swamp. He could care less what Republican voters think about him.
When you find yourself in agreement with Sotomayor, Kagan, Gingsburg, and Breyer,
Don’t you want to examine and re-examine HOW and WHY you arrived there ???!!?!!?
I hold roberts in the same esteem as I would a bowel movement by rosie o’donnel.

We might care about his handling of the upcoming DOMA case... doncha think?

As are ALL of the "Appointees" to The USSC, they are in the job for life, with no removal even possible (Impeachment NEVER would be applied/approved with the complicit Congresses).
The freedom is in the fine print. The price of laziness is slavery.
Your choice.
it seems as though he didnt pay attention to Chief Justice John Roberts contortions. In order to find that the individual mandate in ObamaCare passed constitutional muster, he had to consider it a tax while at the same time consider it not a tax to get past the Anti-Injunction Act. A Chief Justice who can do that while accompanied by four liberal justices can certainly overlook a conflict between two different clauses in order to let the federal government run federal subsidies through federal exchanges.
