I cant think of anything that Scotland alone can offer the world in exchange for money and food.The best bagpipe concerts........well, I guess Canada puts on the best concerts, so.....I'm not sure. Great wool?

Speaking of bagpipes, it reminds me of this Thomas Beecham anecdote;
Sir Thomas Beecham was a British conductor, famous for being quite the curmudgeon, as well as a brilliant musician. He was once approached by a woman asking his advice on what instrument her young son should learn to play, and she expressed concern about the length of the learning curve between the sometimes godawful noises produced by beginners and the time when the student would sound more tolerable. Sir Thomas' reply:
"Madam, without fail your son should take up the bagpipes. They sound EXACTLY the same when you first pick them up as when you've mastered them!
