Let's hope not. I don't fear either Obama or Romney. We'll survive them like we survived FDR, LBJ, Carter and Clinton. FDR and LBJ had huge majorities in the Congress to support their programs. Obama will almost certainly face gridlock.
I know there are some who imagine that Obama will expel the Congress, close the courts, declare martial law and rule by decree, but I don't think that's at all realistic. The people of this country won't tolerate that for a minute. And, if he really would and really could do that, why wouldn't he do it before the election?
If Obama is elected, I think that the House should first repeal Obamacare and then schedule hearings for Obama's impeachment. I do not believe that the House should be dissuaded by concerns about what the Senate will do in response. Conservatives in congress should continue to unanimously oppose any and all Obama proposals except those that might promote a return to this country's timeless values.
We'll survive Obama. His presidency will be a failure. And, I believe that a failed Obama presidency is less dangerous to conservativism and to this country than a "successful" Romney presidency would be.
It's going to be the same Boehnless Chicken led place. It would be difficult enough to get an impeachment out of it with a receptive Senate let alone anything within hollering distance of its present state.
