OK. I’ll agree to indict Paterno if you’ll agree to indict the victims’ parents for child neglect. I have yet to hear one single opinionator make mention of the fact that these kids were at risk because their parents were asleep at the switch. Not one. Everyone is guilty in this case-—Sandusky, Paterno, various PSU officials, AND the boys’ parents. While their kids were being abused by Sandusky, their parents were no doubt smoking crack, sitting wasted in a bar, or otherwise unavailable and unattentive to their kids.

So, in your warped view of humanity, any child who doesn't have perfect parents is considered open prey?

This has nothing to do with the parents. A prolific child predator was using the Penn State facilities as part of his M.O. It was a poorly kept secret among students and some faculty.

All children belong to all of us, and we are responsible for their safety.

If I had my way, the entire University would be burned to the ground.

Oh, just wonderful. So by your standards, it is OK for open season on kids just because their parents are crap? Yea, that works. Maybe the parents of the parents were crap and on and on and on. Sandusky willfully did what he did for his own gratification and power. Joe Paterno did what he should have by notifying the university, but when it was apparent they would do nothing about it, his next stop should have been the police, and/or the FBI and then the media if that didn’t work. How much steel would have been in his words for his legacy if he would have put the kids above his own aura of power?

History if full of socially powerful people who were nothing more than moral cowards. They were able to keep the curtain from being pulled aside, until millions had been either seduced or willingly participated in the atrocities that ended with the deaths of innocent millions. If you have the moral courage to do so, I challenge you to read the book in my tagline that just may give you a different perspective.

Maybe keep the statue but build a cage made of titanium around the statue with Sandusky’s picture at his feet just so the reminder of this whole sordid tale can never be erased from history to be worn like a scarlet letter.

It is not your fault that the school, where apparently you are sending or getting ready to send your kids, has been exposed to be more concerned with money and power than the welfare of the kids whose parents pay a ton of money to be there. Put your man pants on because you are the one who needs to attain a grip. Do them and you a favor and see about Hilldale.

Those durn crack smokin’ single moms should have been doing something good for their kids!

Like encouraging an interest in sports!
And allowing them to benefit from a local charity!

oh wait.....
