Keeping powder dry. SOP for the GOP. McCain still had quite a bit of powder left after he lost to Zero. Turns out he was saving it to savage a conservative primary challenger. Now that’s keeping it dry!
Others have said it: The time for firing your weapons is when you are under attack. By “keeping his powder dry,” Romney is allowing Zero to freeze him and demonize him. As Palin says, that bell can’t be unrung.
If Romney is being clever by not answering attacks, he’s being too clever by half. And he will lose.
If he does that he will have already been defined by his opposition.
