The federal government has agreed to let Florida use a law enforcement database to challenge people's right to vote if they are suspected of not being U.S. citizens.
The agreement comes in a letter to Florida Gov. Rick Scott's administration that was obtained by The Associated Press.

Why is this a victory for the GOP. It is a victory for all actual citizens.

Once a vote is cast there is no way to remove an illegal vote.
Don’t sit there and wait for it. Send a rep to DC with a video camera to pick it up.
Wasn’t there a story in the last few weeks about someone being on the illegals list incorrectly?
Maybe, but if legitimate, it shouldn't be too hard to prove that you are not an illegal.
The person from the story was put in jail for several months, but I don’t remember the details or what list was wrong. I am waiting for the Feds to argue that they can’t use the list because the list has legal citizens on it inadvertently.
This is what happens when you stand up to a bully. Gov. Scott had challenged the regime and they backed down.
Way to go. And let that be a lesson to all the weak-kneed PUBs out there. Jesus said to turn the other cheek, He did NOT say to stand there and let yourself be slapped silly.
Look for the DOJ to dump thousands of 70 year old retirees with hip replacements and eating dogfood on the lists they turn over. Just for chaos purposes come November results.
The only area where there's a legal dispute concerns folks who've moved ~ and in some places they prosecute you for keeping a registration where you used to reside (if you run for public office).
