The last count I had was something like 50 million dead babies. My point is that I could care less about what Sarah Palin has to say. She had the opportunity to become a leader and she chose to be another mouthpiece out there in TV land yapping away. We have enough mouthpieces with Rush, Hannity, and others. We need a leader and she backed away from that chance.
***I’m a Palin fan. I intend to write her in for 2012. But what you say here resonates, yikes.... There is no social conservative around whom we can coalesce. Whaddya propose we do?

The imaginary perfect candidate turns out to be another standard issue pragmatic politician.
And to think of all the vitriol and passion wasted by her merry band of cheerleader assassins during the primaries to convince fellow freepers, not only was she going to run, she was going to walk away with the nomination, and be pitch perfect on every issue. There's still a handful that believe there's going to be some Sarah miracle in Tampa.
It's sad and destructive. When it comes to politicians, some folks around here need to crank their cynicism up to 11.

"Sorry. I refuse to even vote for a local school board candidate who isnt pro-life. A persons fundamental valuing of life permeates all other attitudes and decisions." Same here. Bad move on the part of Palin.

Is everyone here forgetting about Reagan's rule regarding not publicly dissing other Republicans? That's all that Palin was doing. She wasn't going to let the media bait her into being critical of Rice, which she managed to do WHILE affirming her anti-abortion beliefs.
Someone please pass around a brown paper bag to help out everyone on this thread who is hyperventillating over this.

That’s fine ~ at the same time she didn’t say what you think she said.

Palin tells the truth and all of a sudden, many who loved her will now hate her - I wonder if they live their lives as uncompromising as they want their politicians to...

There are so many reasons why Rice would be a lousy candidate so I’ll just stick with my pet peeves:
She’s incredibly boring and lifeless.
She’s a terrible piano player. Richard Nixon had more talent.

"I wonder if they live their lives as uncompromising as they want their politicians to..." When it comes to the genocide of abortion and the murder of unborn babies....You betcha.

We need to remember, though, that its not the vice president that would legislate abortion and that would be Congresss role, and well keep that in mind.
I wonder if Palin is aware that the Vice-president provides the tie-breaking vote in the Senate.

I really don't know. Four years ago I thought Palin might be that leader. From time to time someone in Congress appears to be headed toward that leadership position, but they never seem to get there. Until that leader or leaders emerge I am giving what little money I can to interest groups that are working against Obama and his administration. Romney at best will be a placeholder if he can get elected.
On our Oklahoma ballot you can make one mark at the top and vote straight Republican ticket without voting for each office individually. That is what I am going to do so that I don't have to read Romney's name on the ballot. We are going to have only two choices and there is nowhere to write in some other name.

This was just a trial balloon slash cry for attention from Mitt but Sarah’s sistahood on this matter was most unwelcome.
