They might be tuning mainstream network news out, but that does not necessarily mean they’re looking for other forms of media. Are kids today likely to pay attention to different types of news presentations, or are they just uninterested in any hard news? That’s the key question. These articles assume that since old-style network news is suffering huge (deserved) drops in ratings, a lot of people are tuning in to alternative sources. But is that the case, or are many people just tuning out everything? I have my doubts.

I think all ages know how to find the news they care about, and like everyone else younger people are finding it in other places beyond TV and newspapers. Maybe not the news we care about, but they stay current with whatever they care about.

There isn't any 'hard' news on network TV - the nets run stories fed them by dem contacts found in top editors little black books... I don't know anyone who trust network news...
