It is good to have some one to snuggle with for warmth on those cold nights—our fifth kid is on the way.
We (assuming the identity of my wife and kids—I’m an ex-pat) also have a federal government that has run surpluses recently, and will almost certainly do so again by 2015. There are many upsides—
but most importantly I’m presently enjoying my Upper Canada Rebellion Lager ice cold—not -35, but probably -2. I don’t touch Molson except under social duress. And I never drink mainstream American “Beer”.
Understood.Upsides like:a relative handful of people,civilized English speaking people (yes,the French speaking ones are civilized too),living in a huge country awash in natural resources,sharing a land border with a single nation,that nation also being prosperous and civilized,having to spend a relatively small sum on defense thanks to the power of that southern neighbor,and not having a history of slavery.
