Huge difference between an example for learning and saying those things are still in effect and control and have the same outcome. I would never argue that they are not important or worthwhile for study and knowledge.

Well to each his/her own. But for me during my short lifetime this nation has acted very much like the House of Israel did until The LORD divorced her and sent her packing to the Assyrian king.

HE was not replaced but HE did change the rules of the game.

I suppose one could call it changing the 'rules' of the game. I do not consider it a game given that we are talking about the death of ones soul if one rebels.

If it all to follow according to what happened to Israel, she became a divided nation first with a more righteous Judah being divided from the other 10 tribes. The 10 tribes were subjugated first with finally Judah last. Christians may have to consider moving to less hostile regions of the nation with the notion of forming their own nation.
