Only a US taxpayer funded study could be some completely out of touch with reality.
I was a “returning student” when I was at the State University of NY @ Stony Brook, which does a lot of research. I was amazed at how stupid many of these over-educated undregrads and graduate students were. I mean dumb, not smart enough to come in out of the rain, dumb.
It was an election year, and some of the things that came out of their mouths when discussing presidential politics and government educational funding were really astounding (like the girl who insisted that all education should be free, and people should never be graded on their results.

Curious as to whose Naval were they funded to research with our tax dollars to come up with this Bull Excrement?
