A day care employee who police say ran a red light and crashed a van full of kids on Monday is in the country illegally and doesn’t even have a driver’s license, according to investigators, KHOU-TV (Channel 11) is reporting.
Van driver Concepcion Coronado and Alpha Kids Center owner Darryl Freeman are both charged with injury to a child-criminal negligence after a two-vehicle crash that sent 16 children and two adults to the hospital, Harris County sheriff’s deputies said.
A van from the Alpha Kids Center ran a red light about 4 p.m. Monday and was struck by a pickup truck along West Gulf Bank at the West Sam Parkway, the Houston Chronicle reported.
The sheer number of people inside the overloaded van, along with the lack of proper restraints, were among the factors leading to the charges against the driver and the owner, sheriff’s officials said.
“They were using one seat belt for (every) three children. There was really no safety factor there,” said Harris County Sheriff’s deputy Thomas Gilliland.

wonder what the racial makeup of the kids on the bus were? this could be a hate crime.
Hats off to the Houston Police Department for gathering and releasing immigration status.
Here in King County (Seattle), many of the local police departments actually REFUSE to ask for immigration status.
I’m dealing with the potential use of my social security number and possible SEIU use for a pro union petition that was recently turned in.
The employer who sent me a letter to confirm that I’m a home care worker says I’m not in their system but they have no access to union records. (I’m not a home care worker or a union member)
The social security administration is completely useless in getting me any help. I have to go all the way in town with my birth certificate, SS card, and driver’s license just to get them to check it out.
That Day care center shall be sued unto the 3rd generation.
You should also talk to a lawyer about getting to the bottom of who put your SSN on that petition. This way you will be compensated for the inconvenience as well as deplete 0bamao’s coffers.

I don’t know if it is on the petition but I can’t think of any other reason someone would be using it without using it to work. Maybe pumping up union numbers.
The petition had an extraordinary number of names as did several other pro union petitions turned in for ballot access.
I do wish I could get a look at the names on the “save our jobs” petition. (Michigan)

Only reason she’s still in jail is because of the immigration hold. In California, under the new law, she’d be out.
BS...In CA it would be extremely unlikely for an illegal alien would be driving a bus full of children from a day care. The illegal in this Houston case didn't even have a freaking driver’s license, according to their investigators.
The process here in CA when employed working with kids and especially driving them is very strict and fairly intense. And no, most teachers found getting kinky with kids here, had no prior record.
If my kid were in that van, they’d be in need of some serious legal help and medical assistance as well.
Yeah, all of the illegal aliens in California are law abiding. Not a single one would ever drive a school bus in the barrio without a license.
What with this, the low taxes, tough immigration enforcement and great fiscal management it is surprising that all Texans haven’t moved to California.
It’s so easy to get a license, an SSI card, a green card, a passport anymore...it’s not real funny. If you have the bucks...it’s a done deal, if you know where to look. And believe me....illegal aliens know where to look.

Here’s what I’ve been pushing: it’s time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.
RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.
In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this jerk.
Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, I’m going to point out that the victim’s family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and they’ll all simply want to go back home.

In fact, school bus driver applicants in CA require both an initial criminal background check and an ongoing criminal record review by the Department of Justice.
Not to mention they need a birth certificate, commercial drivers license, endorsements etc. It's not fool proof, but very strict.
Ya see in CA, the liability for some school putting an illegal alien behind the wheel transporting kids, would be astronomical, and they know it.

What in tarnation does this mean, since the article clearly stated the driver in Houston did not even have a driver's license.
BTW, everyone knows illegals can obtain fraudulent driver's license, but in CA, there is a bit more to it if ya plan on driving school kids.
