I’m a Catholic. Matthew Harrison is one of my heroes! His anti-HHS testimony was stand-up-and-cheer thrilling!
Was it not amazing? My whole family is Lutheran, and my relatively unemotional dad started crying during that speech (if you ask my mom, anyway), he was so moved. My husband and his supervising pastor (he is on vicarage learning to be a pastor) cheered also. I was stuck at work. :p
(But I later found out how awesome it had been!)
I have to tell you—I respect Catholics far more than I respect ELCAs.
