“...gave no figures to back up her claim that one in 14 Texas adults doesn’t have a driver’s license or other form of government issued photo i.d...”

Only US citizens are permitted to vote - how many of these “Texas adults” are actually citizens of the USA??

Even if one is a legal foreign resident alien, that person is still not eligible to vote.

Obama wants to eliminate the value of being a citizen, and essentially turn the United States into an global park for the rest of the world.

It’s a hate crime to require photo ID to vote but you won’t be allowed into the presence of the AG without it.

I can understand Jealous' point.

Being asked to show a photo ID is exactly like being attacked by vicious dogs or being hit with a blast of water from a high-powered hose.

American history is like Groundhog Day. Every month is March 1965 (the month of the Selma to Montgomery march).

Unless you look older than 35 you need an ID to buy a beer or a cigarette.
So lets see...here is a partial list of things that I can think of that you need an FREE photo ID for:
* Apply for welfare
* Apply for food stamps
* Alcohol
* Cigarettes
* Cash a check
* Firearm purchase
* Green Card - permanent resident card
* Open a bank account
* Get a loan for car or lease
* I think for car insurance?
* Rent an apartment (at least last time I did)
* Admission to a hospital (not sure about Emergency room)
* Get a marriage license
* Get a credit card
* Purchase Amtrak ticket at the counter
* Jury duty
* Most employers require proof of who you are (SSN card at a minimum and typically was a photo id of some sort)
* Library Card
* Even gym memberships typically require a photo id

So just who are these people who don’t have ID’s?
* Dead people
* People without SSANs
* Maybe spouses of someone with an ID (not sure how they got a marriage license?)
* Teenagers who don’t have a car or job
* Someone who can’t legally get one!
* And a water drinking hermit who is 100% self sufficient at their remote location with no need to travel, bank, or participate in society

The vast majority of that 1.4 million are wetbacks or are otherwise ineligible to vote — even with a photo ID...

One in fourteen residents in Texas are probably not citizens.

It is estimated that 1-2 million illegal aliens are part of Texas’ 20 million people.
