EL PASO A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed that nine Border Patrol stations will soon be closed to move agents closer to the southern and northern borders.
Of the nine stations set to close, six are in Texas and include stations in Abilene, San Angelo, Dallas, San Antonio, Lubbock and Amarillo.
The others are in California, Montana and Idaho.
A total of 41 agents will be reassigned.
The changes are expected to take place within the next six months.
U.S. Customs officials predict closing the nine posts will save more than $1,000,000 a year.

This makes a lot of sense. In the past, if the illegal aliens get past the first line of defense, they still had to worry about being caught in one of the cities north of the border. Now, that obama has determined that illegals will vote for him, he has made the border our only line of defense. This justifies nappy's statement that the border is more secure now than it ever was.
Obama has mandated that border patrol will not respond to requests from law enforcement agencies in Arizona, in order to give the illegal aliens a free ride in this state.

I guess this means there are no more illegals in San Antonio. I feel much safer now. Guess I can leave my keys in my car and my front door unlocked at night.....

Arizona alone spends and estimated $1.2 Billion a year on illegals.

I am sure we will head loud protests coming from our Governor, Senators and Congressmen in Texas anytime now.

closing the nine posts will save more than $1,000,000 a year. Never mind we'll be giving the illegals billions more than that once they're over here. Heck, just close them all, it's not like Homeland Security cares.

An obvious Obama strategy: move more agents to the border and don’t allow them to actually apprehend, hold and deport illegals, let alone defend themselves from aggressive illegals, then he will have weakened interior enforcement and done nothing to strengthen border enforcement.

First the regime attacks Arizona where there are huge numbers of border crossings. Then they attack Texas where the most violence occurs directly across the border, what coincidences.
