Quix has a big heart in the right place, and he says what he thinks will help people. Crusaders take the arrows and blows from the trebuchets, though. I do believe he is a good man. Some would say the same of Al Sharpton, and I would disagree with them just as strenuously.
In fourteen years of FReeping, I can think of no other single poster more conniving, narcissistic, intellectually dishonest, and sanctimonious than Quix.

Quix had some Rivero-like qualities but he was always fun.

I did not see that side of him in the short time that we exchanged emails and posts. If he is all those things, you are right.
But Al Sharpton? I don’t think that Quix has ever gotten anyone killed, burned down anyone’s place of business, nor has he made faked accusations of a terrible rape by police officers.
Comparing him to the evil reverend is a few orders of magnitude too much, IMO. “...conniving, narcissistic, intellectually dishonest, and sanctimonious” are nasty traits, but not criminal.
He does seem to be very different from the Quix I knew, now that he is on the TBL site.
