For people who ARE ACTUAL CONSERVATIVES, Romney will NEVER be "our guy." He is NOT meaningfully any better than Obozo unless the biggest issue in one's life is the care and feeding of Little Muffy's trust fund. Romney is not as good a liar as Obozo but Romney does have decades of practice. Real conservatives recognize Romney as the flesh-eating bacteria that he clearly is.
For any conservative who IS a conservative, the answer to a dichotomy of Obozo or Mittler is NEITHER.
Aren't you amazed when virtually no one here (not even Mittler's paid staffers advocating votes for the absolute POS Mittler will admit that they favored him as their first choice?
I posted previously that even Anne Romney might post here as to how Mittler wasn't her first choice and someone responded that she was engaged to someone else when Mittler went to hide in France as a "missionary" to avoid service in Viet Nam just as all of his male relatives had avoided military service in every war, just as his five sons have avoided military service. While Mittler was off in France, Daddy George the Brainwashed took Anne in hand, converted her to Mormonism and got her to commit to marrying Mittler instead. Mittler's Mommy Lenore who ran for Senate as a babyscraper in Michigan in about 1970 and pre-Roe vs. Wade would be sooooooo proud!!!

I reckon that concentration camp will be there regardless - Both candidates are rabid globalists, and I believe the ultimate end game is the same no matter which is sElected.
It really is too bad that the 'premier conservative site on the web' won't get it together and lend a hand to one of the Conservative candidates that are available... But I know that won't happen - the pragmatists have the bit in their teeth again.
In the end all will be for naught. Principle dictates it.

It isn't about demoralizing. It is about the truth. The suggestion upthread that we *must* elect Romney or suffer internment camps under Obama required a response. It is my honest opinion that both/either will result in the same thing - Globalism is the new socialism, and Romney (as a globalist himself) is no improvement upon the current _resident.
If FreeRepublic were worth her salt, such an observation would not be subject to being tamped down and hidden, nor should I receive remonstration for making the point:

IMO, the only (and I do mean only) selling point is that Romney is sort of the 'devil we don't know'... But even accounting for that emotional construct, there is nothing in his record to suggest he won't be the same damnable thing, except that with an 'R' beside his name. the 'devil we don't know' is still a devil, just the same as the one that is there now.
As time goes by, more and more conservatives will come to realize this (to their utter horror).
