Denise Rich, the wealthy socialite and former wife of pardoned billionaire trader Marc Rich, has given up her U.S. citizenship - and, with it, much of her U.S. tax bill.
Rich, 68, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and glossy figure in Democratic and European royalty circles, renounced her American passport in November, according to her lawyer.
Her maiden name, Denise Eisenberg, appeared in the Federal Register on April 30 in a quarterly list of Americans who renounced their U.S. citizenship and permanent residents who handed in their green cards.
By dumping her U.S. passport, Rich likely will save tens of millions of dollars or more in U.S. taxes over the long haul, tax lawyers say.

Looks like Ms. Rich joined hew ex-husband in giving the middle finger to the US.
Yep.....I get that same newsletter.
Proof once again that when libs say they love this country...they are lying.
Just one more hypocritical limousine liberal.
Democrat rich Denise Rich thinks taxes are for “the little people”.
Just one more hypocritical limousine liberal.
Socialist dumps 0bama.
Maybe it is not just a case of avoiding taxes, but perhaps many are just fed up with the crap from the overlords in DC!
This saggy-boobed mess helped make Bill Clinton richer by acting as the middle-man for her ex-husband’s presidential pardon purchase.

Well, this particular little venal Commie was certainly OK with “The Overlords” when they pardoned the piece of criminal, human detritus that is her husband.
This sloppy socialite has been hosting fundraisers for every leftwing politician of the last twenty years.
She drilled the holes in the bottom of the ship, and now wants to be the first one on the lifeboat.
No. She is simply behaving rationally.... In general, we should respect individuals and businesses who move out of the United States, when they determine that our tax rates (and other laws and regulations) are comparatively worse than those elsewhere.
This is notwithstanding other reasons to dislike the the Riches.
Good analogy.
Too bad it takes being a billionaire to pay one’s own way. Freedom and Justice for ALL, is gone :(
Pretty soon, the only way to escape this county will be to fly a balloon.
Only legally and maybe not even then. Money is fungible and these people are always after influence and prestige and that comes with 'bribes'.
As far as these 'Rich's are concerned, the Clinton pardon of her former husband, Marc Rich, who was convicted (in absentia) of tax evasion and materially assisting the Iranian theocrats when they were holding the American Hostages, has never been given sufficient study. This pardon, done on the final day of Clinton's Presidency, stinks and this dropping of citizenship by his former wife demonstrates that the Democrat war against the rich applies only to non-Democrats. Faugh!
