President Barack Obama’s former spiritual adviser spoke just a few miles from the White House on Sunday, and politics and controversy weren’t far from what Rev. Jeremiah Wright had to say.

“As we celebrate the foundations of our future, this is not a time to romanticize because we have the first African-descended president in the White House,” Wright said in a fiery sermon that lasted close to an hour. “You see what the tea party is trying to do.”

Speaking at Washington’s Florida Avenue Baptist Church, which marks its 100th anniversary this week, Wright urged parishioners to teach their children true African-American history and not to cede their educations to “our enemies” who teach “his story,” one that “distorts our story, disses our story.”

Children may “only know Oprah and Obama,” he said, so it’s up to elders to teach about Nat Turner, Emmett Till, Rosa Parks, Paul Robeson, Zora Neale Hurston and other black voices.

Because intellectual laziness is a very hard habit to break. Your average black these days is intellectually lazy to the Nth degree and that makes them very easy to inveigle with the lies from the democrats. Lies designed to brainwash and control them.

It seems to me lately that "leaders" like Jerry Wright, Calypso Louie and Malik Shabazz along with a significant number of blacks and leftists in our own government are trying to start an actual insurgency in this country. They spew nothing but venom and hatred, and tacitly (sometimes openly) encourage violence. They just look for fires to pour gasoline onto.

I am noticing it in my town —Young blacks walking down the middle of the street or walking out into the intersection against the light making you stop the car - the glaring looks. The Reverend reeled off a few iconic names to make his point.The initial name intrigued me, as I remember a novel titled "The Confessions of Nat Turner" I did not read it. I did some hasty Wikipedia work.

Virginia 1831 found a rebellion by slaves lead by Turner. Sixty innocent white people were murdered. Women and children not spared. Hacked to death with axes, clubs and other handy implements. Wiki lays it on thick about the number of innocent blacks murdered in retaliation by white militia.

Turner was hanged after a trial. His dead body was desecrated and flayed. Under the Constitution, he was saved from "cruel and unusual punishment". In one certain country, he would have been flayed and tortured first- then hanged.

Reverend Wright is destroying himself with his vile hatred. I will say no more.
