LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Brad Pitt has long been an advocate for gay rights (initially vowing to hold off on marrying longtime love Angelina Jolie until gay marriage became legal nationwide), but his mother, Jane Pitt, apparently takes a different stance on the issue.
In a letter penned for her local newspaper, Jane urged Christian voters not to be put off by candidate Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith, as he still maintains conservative views in line with Christian beliefs despite his differing religion — including his posture on gay marriage and abortion.
“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,” she wrote in the opinion piece for The Springfield News-Leader this week.
Jane added that “any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
While the letter may seem harsh to some, Brad has previously said his mother means no harm.
“She’s very, very loving — very open, genuine, and it’s hilarious because she always gets painted in the tabloids as a she-devil,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview back in January. “There’s not an ounce of malice in her.
“She wants everyone to be happy,” the actor noted.

No, it has not. You can hold a ABO opinion and espouse it. However, to say that those that don’t agree with your ABO opinion to be “Obama supporters” (even unwittingly) because, out of disgust for the GOPe’s pick Romney, they refuse to support Romney. That is just NOT true and not welcome here. A third party vote or a blank ballot is NOT a default vote for Obama...it is what it is...a vote against both Obama and Romney. Jim Robinson and a great many regulars on this forum WILL NOT roll over for a liberal (pro-abortion, pro-homo, liberal compromising) candidate like Romney that has been foisted upon conservatives by the GOP establishment that are NOT real conservatives.
So, insulting a person here that takes a principled stand against either Obama or Romney is NOT to be insulted by calling them default (or otherwise) Obama supporters.
IF you are others chose to waste your vote on a piece of human excerement like Romney....that is your choice. IF you do it because you think Anyone if Better than Obama...that is also your choice and you are free to express it. However, stick to that line...DO NOT insult principled conservatives than won’t drink the GOPe Romney Cyanide Koolaid. Romney is NOT pro-life, he is NOT anti-homosexual agenda, he is NOT even conservative. He is NOT a proper candidate to represent the conservative base of the GOP faithful. We (many of us) are sick of being marginialized by the GOPe as being the only way we can vote. So, we are standing up to them, and liberalism in the GOP.
So, if not being able to call Romney opponents on this forum, “Obama Supporters” (by whatever specious reasons you may dredge up) is something to be “ashamed” of....then maybe you are in the wrong place.
