I accept your pity.
I can fly from 3 convenient Bay area airports to 3 convenient LA airports plus San Diego for $58 with proper planning.
WASS in Californina. My wife and I are retiring in 18 months and are looking to move out of CA. Any thoughts?
Oh, I have 10,000 rounds of .223 if that helps.
My husband and I enjoy visiting Utah. St. George is especially beautiful.
Pick a state with no income tax
Tennessee hasn’t got a regular income tax and has a Republican governor and Congress.
That might be enough to cover your rear on your way out.
Move to Evansville, IN. Settle in one of the very rural adjoining counties. Start a big garden, can a lot of food, enjoy hunting deer, rabbits, turkey, etc..
Go fishing.
Build a big basement.
Enjoy your conservative neighbors.
Did I leave out make wine and beer?
I know of cheap land in CO if you want to live in the middle of nowhere.
I have a property here: http://www.cedarwood-hoa.com/
and the land prices have come down some since I bought ($1k per acre, lower now).
The location is pretty remote, about 40 miles from Pueblo. However you have power and fiber to all plots and wells are pretty easy to drill. I have a house there where I shoot on weekends, and plan on retiring to.
Of course Colorado could be better politically, but it’s not horrible. Yet.
