I think some look at this as just another nail in the coffin of Obama’s ineligibility because if he was born here then he would not have to steal a SS number he could have just applied for one like the rest of us did. Right or wrong it does make you wonder why.

Any lawful resident of the United States -- no matter where he or she is born -- can apply for and obtain a Social Security number. Thus, even a person born in Kenya would not have to steal a SSN.
