I think Newt Gingrich was trying to make that very point during his campaign.
Newt was right. Ahead of his game and would have made the greatest president since Reagan. Romney should have followed Sowell, Levin and Rush and blasted Roberts on the healthcare ruling. His press release is weak. Using staffers as mouthpieces now because he lacks the leadership skills.
