We finally shook off the ice age and now temps are back to normal.
The [news media] is a device for making the ignorant more ignorant
and the crazy crazier.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed
by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them
imaginary.
-- H. L. Mencken (1880 1956), Journalist magazine editor
Interesting watching a documentary about England last night, they mentioned that in the early 1300s England experienced a mini-ice age....which resulted in failed crops and hordes of starving people. They still don't know what caused it. Because it came on so quickly. At various times in other parts of Europe during the last millenium, abnormally cold weather caused failed crops and starvation. Which means the earth can heat up or cool quickly in a very short time for reasons scientists cannot explain. Although many ahem "experts" attempt to do so.
