Lamar Smith is a bit of a hypocrit. His own EVerify bill prempts and negates all state and local laws controlling illegal immigratiCon. If enacted, his bill would be worse than the Supreme ourt smackdown of Arizona’s SB1070.
Smith’s bill is a product of the Chamber of Commerce. They want all laws restricting cheap labor struck down and Smith is carrying their water.
Playing a little bit of shuffleboard with all the other immigration-reformers, eh? Knocking their markers off the board?
I've heard this before, that Smith's a "playa" for big S&P 500 firms, like Phil Gramm was for the banks.
