As a conservative, I’ve voted for many less-conservative-than-me politicians. Romney’s nothing new in that dept.
Here in Texas, Dewhurst is running for Senate vs Ted Cruz. We need Ted Cruz, but I’ve voted for Dewhurst. If you moved Dewhurst to Massachusetts he’d be more liberal than Romney.
Romney does have a more conservative agenda than Bush had in 2000. Bush had NCLB and medicare drug expansion and immigration reform. Romney has Ryan budget, repeal of Obamacare and is against amnesty in his 2012 campaign.
