Yes, that was downright criminal - sending ‘young’ Guardsman to airports in certain jurisdictions and not even allowing them to have ammo was despicable.

If I am a ‘bad guy’ and stalking an airport full of civilians and happen upon a person in a military uniform, my first target is on hand.

And if I realize he is not ‘armed’, mayhem will erupt around him.

Kind of suicidal to be in a ‘hot zone’ without ammo etc

Long since removed from a Military ‘situation’, I find it easy today to disobey such an order - but it is easy now. <: <:
