Burke’s comments above apparently refer to straw purchases, by non-government actors, BEFORE Fast & Furious began. He states that these guns were traced to murders of elected officials in Mexico by the Cartels. Therefore he knew in advance that weapons supplied through F & F had a realistic chance of being used to murder Mexican elected officials. And to create media and political support for a renewed assault rifle ban in the USA, he went ahead. The quote appears to be evidence that this US Attorney was at minimum an accessory to murder, and more likely part of a terrorist conspiracy. Talk about a “depraved disregard for life...” But the Holder contempt charge was just politics; nothing to see here.
The tidbit about Jenny Durkan (the US Attorney for WA State) having an email exchange with Burke about his operation makes me wonder if Durkan was trying to run similar operations up here for politically driven purposes....and if so, how did that stuff turn out or did they shut them down when FF went bad?
