Conservatives to Mitt: Quit Now If You Won't Fight Obamatax!
Breitbart ^ | 7/2/12 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 07/02/2012 10:47:53 AM PDT by Nachum

The Obama campaign has seized on remarks made by Romney adviser Eric "Etch-A-Sketch" Fehrnstrom this morning on MSNBC, to the effect that the individual mandate in Obamacare (and Romneycare) is not a tax. Fehrnstrom allowed Chuck Todd to push him off message--and re-ignited the fears that conservatives have long had about Romney's will and ability to fight. In response, conservatives--who had just coalesced around opposition to what many now call "Obamatax": Mitt, start fighting, or give up and let someone else do it.

Fehrnstrom's point--in defense of Romneycare--was that the Supreme Court was wrong to uphold Obamacare under the taxing power. The individual mandate was never intended to be a tax, Congress never called it a tax, and it wasn't a tax in Massachusetts, either. Fine--but now that Obama's lawyers went to court and called it a tax, and Chief Justice John Roberts called it a tax (and spare us the non-distinction between "tax" and the "taxing power") Obamacare is, undeniably, a massive tax on the middle class. Obama lied. It's that simple.

The GOP primary is over, and this is not a mistake that Fehrnstrom can merely shake away. It's going to be used--and already is being used--by the Obama campaign to save itself from the tax argument, and to label Romney as a liar (when that label belongs squarely on Obama, who campaigned against Hillary Clinton's individual mandate in 2008). Perhaps this is why Rupert Murdoch has been calling openly for Romney to "drop...old friends from [his] team and hire...some real pros," as he did on Twitter yesterday.

“then America is not worth saving”

Now that the rest of FR knows where you stand, I am through with you too.

If you want to define the liberal vision for this country as “America”, with Abortion, Gay marriage and Obama/Romneycare for all, then you can have it. I’ll stick to voting for Pre-Obama America. The Real one.

Don’t you get it? We have to vote for a Democrat to save us from a communist/marxist. Ain’t it great?

I know. I should follow the flock, stand up and PROUDLY proclaim that Abortion, a homosexualizied military and the rest is now OK because a Republican said so, but I’ll just be a traitor.

ecause Romney’s chief propagandistst a couple post’s up has declared ‘where I stand’ I guess I should stand there.

Of course more than a few here stand with me.

Tell you what homeslice. You explain to me how a conservative can vote for Romney without abandoning his conservative beliefs to do so and I vow right here and now to campaign HARD for Mitt Romney on FR and everywhere else.

Further, I’ll apologize to everyone here, state I was wrong and help you get a liberal elected to the highest office in the land.

With a smile.

Deal?

I see...

Obama has chosen Romney as the loser, and you are criticising me for backing Obama’s opponent?

Between this and your concern for sick dogs, over the future of this country, I’m pretty sure it’s long past time to quit wasting bandwidth on you.

The FR community has a clear picture of our differences, and that’s enough for me.

Are you going to rise to the challenge Larry? Or can’t you back up your ‘beliefs’?

Romney has stated his conversion to Pro-Life.
Given that I accepted Dr. Bernard Nathenson’s conversion, I’ll accept Romney’s.

Romney has said he will overturn Obamacare.
That is sufficient for me.

With a Romney win, we should sweep enough conservative Congressional and Senate leaders into office, to check any other limp policies Romney might consider.

Oh, did I mention, if Romney loses, America will be destroyed.

Above are the reasons I believe that we will survive with Romney in office.

So the whiners and complainers can keep their “zippy” and “homeslice” insults to themselves, because I’m equipped to thrive, even if the worst happens.
I have risen to the challenge and prevailed.
No acknowledgement required.

To: G Larry; All

You have done nothing of the sort.

Lets put it to a vote. Did Larry meet the challenge?

With so much political flack being thrown around especially after the SC upheld ,in a devious way admittedly, a law that will be promoted as rooted in Romney’s law and the campaigns not yet at the boiling point, a lot of questions as to Romney’s arguments being effective as to health care under Obamacare could ignite a convention brewha as just one point. I know Romney has tried to distinguish even separate his health care apart from Obamacarare but I believe he is going to have to eat more ‘crow’ so to speak and convince many conservatives these health care laws were and are flawed from the first words.

Fehrnstrom is a POS, and Romney is no better for keeping the jackwagon around.
