Via Gateway Pundit, heres a moment that will live in the Cross-Examination Hall of Fame. Fox News Sundays Chris Wallace interviewed the current White House chief of staff, Jacob Lew, who served as OMB chief briefly before taking over for William Daley in the West Wing, about the Supreme Courts ruling that ObamaCare can only stand constitutional muster as a tax. Wallace strings Lew along beautifully for almost three minutes, allowing Lew to argue multiple times that ObamaCare isnt a tax, wasnt passed as a tax, and was never intended to be a tax, before playing a recording of the Obama administrations Solicitor General arguing to the Supreme Court that, by golly, ObamaCare can and should be considered a tax:
The money moment comes at the very end of the clip, but dont skip ahead to it, or youll miss the masterful way Wallace brings Lew to the point of no return. For his part, Lew does as well as he could under the circumstances in responding to Donald Verrillis argument, but the eventual response hardly helpful. Lew basically tells Wallace that, hey, lawyers make lots of arguments in court, but that doesnt make them true!
You know why this doesn’t matter one iota? You know why we are going to get SLAUGHTERED in Nov? Because the Romney campaign JUST came out and specifically agreed that this is NOT a tax.
Romney and his campaign are so utterly inept and flat out stupid that Obama is going to crush him in the debates and, well, everything else. Romney will energize the RAT base. Romney is, perhaps, the single biggest disaster to Conservatism in history.
Second biggest disaster... right behind John McCain.
When an attorney lies to the Supreme Court, are there repurcusions?
We are going to be slaughtered even if he hadn’t said it. But I’m sure King Barack appreciates him saying it, anyway.
Frankly, I don’t listen to Haahhhvard attorneys ANY more....they are idiots.
I’m so pessimistic about the election that I’m not even going to watch coverage about it on election night. I’ll just watch a movie and go to bed. Not only do I expect obama to slaughter Romney even worse than McCain, but I expect the House to go back to the donks.
Get the popcorn ready, this headless chicken dance is just beginning.
When an attorney lies to the Supreme Court, are there repurcusions?
Not if they’re obama’s attorneys.
Since it is open season on the law, this income I have, no matter what your lawyers say, it is not taxable.

There has to come a time when even the ignorant look at their leaders and realize they are dumber than a box of rocks. I’m dreaming I know.
Baghdad Bob would be hard pressed to spin as well as obama’s spin meisters.
Not to be argumentative, but the Romney campaign only agreed with Justice Scalia, Alito, Thomas, and Kennedy that the law was not constitutional and wrongly calling it a tax should not make it so. To agree that it was a legitimate tax would be to agree with Chief Justice Roberts that the law was constitutional. The fact that we must abide by the supreme court ruling does not mean that we are bound to agree with it.
Romney will try to make logical arguments by stringing past comments and actions together to weave a story that Obama is bad for the nation.
Obama will say whatever is most favorable to him at the moment, whether or not it is supported by facts, past statements or actions.
Romney has to be prepared to be quick on his feet to catch Obama making claims that are demonstrably false, and then needle Obama over and over in the debates in order to trigger Obama's flash temper.
Romney shouldn't wait for his rules-allotted times to speak, because we all know that Obama won't.
Romney cannot be suckered into showing proper "presidential deference" to Obama during the debates. Romney should let Obama know that on that stage on that night, they are each candidates for president first.
Romney needs to make Obama look shrill, thin-skinned, and short-tempered in the debates.
