people are young and have never been subjected to govt administered health care delivery such as Medicaid or Mediscare....less concerned about the escalating prices than I am about the degraded quality of care that’s inevitable.

If we still had a draft, there would have been the experience of military socialized medicine. Having to call for limited appointments, poorly trained enlisted specialists. What made it viable was military discipline and pride. That won’t be part of socialized medicine.
