Palin: ‘ObamaCare’ a harbinger of things to come, if Obama is re-elected...won’t recognize country
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2901460/posts
PALIN: Well, if Governor Romney is elected president — and let’s hope that the GOP does take over the White House and can secure the Senate and holds onto the House — then obviously, first on the list of priorities must be repealing and replacing “ObamaCare” with something that makes more sense.
Now, if Obama is reelected, well, we will be a fundamentally transformed country, as Obama promised us when he was a candidate, that he was hell-bent on doing to us. We’re heading down that road now. This “ObamaCare” mandate, this decision that was made today — heck, Obama even proposing it and ramming it through and down our throats through Pelosi and Reid’s embracing of it — that’s a harbinger of things to come.
So if Obama is reelected, well, America, you will no longer recognize the country that today you truly love and can enjoy all of its freedom and prosperity and security if Obama is reelected because this “ObamaCare” is a harbinger of things yet to come.
I wonder if the states Medicaid withdrawal will negate Obamacare.
The 3 years go by very fast, leaving thes states with even more debt.
Just like us, she has no other choice. If Governor Romney wanted to see his fundraising, volunteers and GOTV take off like a rocket, he’d choose Governor Palin as his running mate or energy secretary.
I’ve been hearing for months here on FR that when someone says they want to “repeal and replace” Obamacare then this means that they don’t really want to repeal it.
So I guess Sarah is cool with Obamacare after all.
There's that Henfling dude.
I think Palin prefers her current role — lots of influence, no responsibilites.
My wish is Scott Walker for VP.
Or as we know him around here, the Palin hater.
Didn’t he say he was going to Israel first?
Mitt Romney should pick Sarah Palin to be Energy Secretary and have the VP come from one of the swing states. Allen West from Florida would be the best pick, IMHO.
“Mr. Santorum, writing in an op-ed on Thursday for RedState, cautioned Republican voters, warning of what’s at stake in general election this fall.
“Liberty as we have known it for 236 years will be forfeit. President Obama will veto any weakening of his law. The only way to stop this comprehensive overhaul of the entire private and public healthcare system from becoming the law of the land is to defeat President Obama this fall. The stakes are set. The mission is clear. What say you?” wrote Mr. Santorum on Thursday.”

Romney and Natanyahu have been friends for a long time.
Romney is a friend to Israel, unlike Obama.
Op-Ed: Romney would make U.S.-Israel ties stronger, warmer
http://www.jta.org/news/article/2012/06/24/3098961/op-ed4
“When Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney told the passionately pro-Israel members of the Faith and Freedom Coalition that he would “do the opposite” of the things that President Obama has done regarding Israel, the room erupted in applause. They understood exactly what he meant because they know that the Obama administration has not strengthened the U.S.-Israel relationship. President Obama has brought that strategic alliance to its lowest point in decades.”
I encourage you to throw away your sacred vote, which millions of men fought, bled and died for. I also hope that you get a comfortable bunk, a cushy work assignment and delicious gruel in the camps.
Trusting Romney to replace the monstrosity of Obamacare when he still supports the monstrosity of his own, RomneyCare WITH IT’s INDIVIDUAL MANDATE is like trusting a fox to look after the hen-house.
Seems Governor Palin has also been struck with the GOP version of “Hope and Change”
That is, Hoping that a dyed in the wool Progressive Liberal (As proven by his record) can somehow change and become a conservative and also, at the same time, admit he was wrong about his RomneyCare.
It ain’t going to happen.
What the heck are you talking about?
Palin: “...or something else that makes more sense.”
WTF????
It doesn’t need to be replaced with ANYTHING. Reduce gov’t largesse and make people more responsible for themselves. Social Darwinism, folks! Let private charities handle things as best as they can and if there isn’t any more resources, people suffer. That’s reality.
I wonder if Palin has any suggestions for ANY gov’t health system that “makes more sense.”
I suspect she doesn’t and I’m disappointed that she said “replace with something” at all. That’s not a Tea Party position at all.
Maybe it should be, but there’s no way he’s going to repeal the signal accomplishment of his political career.
I’d prefer to see Palin as energy secretary. She’s be much more useful holding that position than as VP. The only thing Palin could do if Romney chose her as VP is help Romney win. As energy secretary she could help America win.
Very true! We could just take it back to what it was and that would be a HUGE improvement.
That being said, healthcare in this country has had its problems (ironically those problems were created by the same party that pushed ObamaCare down our throats. $40 for an aspirin is just a little too costly.
The replacement I'd like to see is more competition among the health insurance companies where we can legally purchase the health insurance of our choice and not from a small group of companies within our own state. That way the free market determines the price of insurance and not just the 3 or 4 companies in our states we have to choose from.
Romney also said that, if elected, he would grant every state a waiver on the first day!
