McConnell: I'll repeal Obamacare as majority leader

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) declared Friday that repealing the health care law would top his priority list if he controls the chamber come 2013.
“If [Mitt] Romney is in the White House and I am the majority leader of the Senate, I assure you repeal of Obamacare is the first item on the agenda,” McConnell on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Friday.
By using a budget process called reconciliation, a theoretical Senate GOP majority could successfully vote to repeal the law with just 51 votes, rather than a filibuster-proof 60. Republicans need to pick up four seats to win control of the Senate, or three if Romney wins the White House.

How about we support various Senate candidates who will repeal the whole darned thing, and maybe also elect a majority leader who is more faithful to the citizens than McConnell????

Tippy the Turtle has no business being the Majority Leader. Besides, someone explain how they avoid the filibuster. There has to be some sort of loophole for that.
I think this article is mis-titled.
Here is what the turtle actually said.

So what?, “We need to start all over and not make things worse, and I think that’s the message for the fall election,” McConnell said. “Give us a chance to repeal this monstrosity and we will start all over with much more modesty, much more respect for the federal system.”
The turtle’s statement gives me absolutely no confidence that McConnell: “I’ll repeal Obamacare as majority leader” is doing anything other than making another campaign promise.
I just sent an email to McConnell and simply said:
“No speeches....just do it.”
ok. then there should be no problem with you, mcconnell, putting the repeal pledge and proposed bill in writing, signing it (along with all your cronies) and then publishing it.
How did this groveling jellyfish get into his position, anyway?
It has been explained. Using the same procedure Reid used to pass it needing only 51 votes, called RECONCILIATION, he is promising quick Senate repeal, followed by Romney’s signature.
If the Senate Majority Leader was someone like Jim DeMint, or perhaps James Inhofe, these words might have some weight.
As for Mitch ‘the Squish’ McConnell, he’s part of the problem NOT part of the answer. He needs to relinquish his lofty position in favor of someone with some guts.
