What is interesting is that retired military shouldn’t be paying for healthcare at all. When we “signed up” that was part of the deal...free healthcare for life. That was changed some time ago and Tricare for life was introduced. So now we pay, not much, but we are already paying for something that was supposed to be part of our contract.

Few years back some folks took this to court, and the court’s decision was the recruiters did not have the authority to promise free health care for life.
