“Part of this issue is demographics. Obama owns the black & hispanic vote. And, believe it or not, the asian vote. These 3 groups now make up about 37% of the U.S. population. It’s a different elction map for the GOP in 2012. I still think Romney can/will win this election, but it’s not going to be easy.”

Very astute observations.
And in the decades to come, it’s not going to get any easier.

My take on this is explained in this post:

You may well be right, just as these same uninformed Republican voters refused to vote in the primaries too — too busy making money.

I would hope that at least those conservatives not voting for Romney will vote for their state conservative candidates needed to keep the House and regain the Senate

No, these are the same uninformed people; they can't learn.

Good point, and remember too that exactly half of the Republican senators (including the liberal Prescott Bush) joined all the Dems to censure McCarthy.

Are you calling the American people “dumb asses”? Hey, you may be “on to something” as JFK once said of Joe McCarthy.

If more people are against Obamacare, how does this make sense??????

Because "everyone likes a winner"! Don't forget that this is the same moronic American electorate that swept the obviously unqualified and anti-American Obama into office in 2008.

Voters split their tickets plenty of times

Yeah voters are going to vote for Obama and then split and vote for a GOP senator

You must have discovered a new breed of liberal voter

I can see blacks in the inner cities just voting for Obama but not splitting
Now that might help get a GOP Senator etc elected

If the reports about 2010 are correct that a large number who voted in 2008 didn't vote --then we may be in trouble if they come out in 2012

I agree with your post. The demographic issure is really starting to bite now. One step republicans should start trying to do is win back the asian vote that they used to have in the 80s & 90s. Another step would be to somehow slow down legal immigration....it’s killing the right. millions of by & large poor folks coming into the country evey year.

I know plenty of people in 1996 that voted for Bill Clinton for President and Fred Thompson for Senate

If that actually happens, it will be because those conservatives are clueless to the fact that another term for Obama will be the end if our freedom and the beginning of just another failing Socialist society.

This election will not be even remotely close. Romney will win by at least 6-8%.

And they will be thrilled when their government controlled health records get stamped with “do not resuscitate”. Unit no longer of value to the state.

All of the deadbeat Welfare State bums will be thrilled with their freebies(they comprise a large portion of the voting block)until the nation is tipped irretreivably into a Socialist/Marxist State. At thst point, their little party will be over. Not only will they be required to work; they will be told, by their government benefactor, exactly where, how long,at what wage and how much of that wage they may keep. They, along with the rest of us, will be told what we may eat, how much we may weigh, what we may read, how many children we may have and what we may teach them. They will be told exactly how long they may expect to keep their elderly parents and grandparents alive according to government mandated guidelines. Homosexuals will be “phased out” because they offend the religious beliefs of a large segment of the world trade base. Four more years of an Administration run by avowed Communists and a President who was born and raised Communist/Marxist should just about seal the fate of this country. Just look how far they have come in three and a half years!

But we can look back, in that dark future, and remember that one group of conservatives stood tall and didn’t vote for a Moderate (not to mention Morman) Republican candidate! You go guys!

It’s racial....all on one side. But, if the economy gets bad enough even that can be overcome.

Yes. It is what the liberals of MA wanted.

Including the liberal governor.

That's the point.
