It’s interesting that in Law Enforcement Dogs are considered an officer and if you harmed one you are so charged.

But in the military dogs are equipment? I guess “all animals are equal” does not apply to working dogs.

Military dogs "used" to be considered soldiers.

I'm not sure exactly when that changed.



"Stubby" held the rank of Sergeant and had his three Buck Sergeant Stripes on his vest along with his medals.
